One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a demon- possessed slave girl. She was a fortune-teller who earned a lot of money for her masters. She followed along behind us shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved." This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and spoke to the demon within her. "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her," he said. Nugget: Sometimes people will come into your life in camouflage. It looks like one thing and is another all together. In this day and time, we need a more discerning spirit to be able to call the SPIRIT out of the people posing to have your best interest. I am a spice girl for life, and this is one of spices needed most - DISCERNING SPICE - mount up!
Prayer: LORD, thank You for reminding me that the enemy can speak the truth if it serves his purpose or produces a result he wants. Help me to be more discerning and not so readily accept anything anyone says just because it "sounds" or "feels" right or they associate Your name with it. I want to always recognize and follow Your genuine leadership in everything that concerns my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
